Theme Parks in Lincoln

There is no end of exciting things to do in Lincoln, whatever your interests may be. There are historic buildings including abbeys, churches, castles and there are family fun parks, farm attractions, nature reserves, local antique fairs and food festivals. The area has some exquisite gardens at Doddington Hall, Belton Park, Normanby Hall Country Park, Grimsthorpe Castle and Easton's walled garden. Lincoln city has guided tours to suit all tastes, such as macabre past, pubs, aviation, hidden gems, arboretum and Guildhall tours.

There are several annual festivals and events that draw holidaymakers to Lincoln including the Agricultural Show, which takes place the last week in June. The Grange de Lings showground is also used throughout the year for a variety of functions and events. RAF Waddington Air Show is another popular attraction at the end of June and an annual Scarecrow Festival is held in May each year in the villages of Salmonby and Tetford.

Other interesting events include the Corby Glen sheep fair, the Haxey Hood village competition in January, the Spalding Flower Parade in the Spring, Stamford Mid- Lent fair and the Lincoln Christmas Market. Museums well worth visit include the Church Farm Museum and the Museum of Lincolnshire Life. Stamford Museum has fascinating local collections and the unique Stamford Tapestry. Grantham Museum has wonderful displays of social history and archaeology.
