Intersport in Lincoln is set to reopen for one weekend only in order to shift leftover stock.
The sportswear shop has been on the city’s high street for more than a decade.
However, in January it suddenly closed and the inside of the shop was stripped.
Adrian Graham and Ryan Holdsworth of Sheffield insolvency and recovery practice Graywoods were appointed as liquidators of HW Retail Ltd – the trading name of Intersport Lincoln – on April 29.
BPI Asset Advisory, specialists in the valuation and disposal of machinery and business assets, have now been instructed to realise the company’s stock, fixtures and fittings.
And that means the store will, therefore, open for one last time on the weekend of June 19 and 20, when there will be 50 per cent off the retail price of all stock, with payment by card only.
Bargain hunters will be able to pick up a full range of football, hockey, tennis, cricket, running and snow sport equipment, with major sports brands including Adidas, Nike, Wilson, Slazenger, Under Armour and Oakley.

“Following a tough trading year, this is another high street name falling victim to the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic and changes in the way that people now shop,” said Adrian Graham.
“We hope this final sale will be successful so we can get a good return for the company’s creditors.”
